About

The Minefield is a Feminist network and resource.

We facilitate conversation and dialogue about life, love, the universe, Feminism and it’s many intersections. Minefield Meet-Ups offer a supportive, enjoyable and encouraging space to ponder your own ideas, questions and conundrums through the benefit of shared experience (and wine!) Making sometimes uncomfortable subjects comfortable, we provide an approachable, non-judgemental environment to challenge pre-conceptions and outdated ideas.

We also love to collaborate with other people and organisations such as panels and discussions for our Feminist Film Club and arts based projects with a focus on early years development with Sm.art Club and parenting support networks like The Mumologist.

The Minefield was founded by Sarah-Lou Newman, artist, maker, curator, wife and mother to 3 young girls, who, after years of travel and living abroad has settled in North London with her growing family and two cats. She kinda wishes she could be Leslie Knope (she knows she’ll never be Beyonce) when she grows up but will settle for just leaving the house on time in clean(ish) clothes.
